Google Input Tools Chrome extension allows users to use input tools in any web page in Chrome. To use the Input Tools Chrome extension, follow these steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Install Google Input Tools<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Click the extension icon\u00a0\"\"\u00a0and select \u201cExtension options\u201d<\/li>\n
  3. In the \u201cExtension options\u201d page, select the input tool that you want from left to right.<\/li>\n
  4. Double click on the left to add an input tool. Double click on the right to remove a selection.<\/li>\n
  5. Sort selected input tools by clicking an input tool on the right and clicking the\u00a0\"arrow\u00a0and\u00a0\"arrow\u00a0icons.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    To use an input tool, click the extension icon. In the drop-down menu that appears, select the desired input tool. With an input tool turned on, the extension button becomes a colored icon, such as \"\". When an input tool is off, the button is greyed out\u00a0\"\". It’s never too late to change your input tools by returning to this page.<\/p>\n

    To use the extension’s language tool, click on the extension’s icon and any text box on the web page. The “Turn Off” option can be found by clicking on the extension icon.<\/p>\n

    Type the languages phonetically in English letters, and they will appear in their correct alphabet. Keep in mind that transliteration is a distinct process from translation in that only the word’s pronunciation is altered. For example, to get in \u0928\u092e\u0938\u094d\u0924\u0947 with Hindi transliteration, type in n-a-m-a-s-t-e. You will get a list of Hindi words that sound like namaste. Then, press SPACE to select the first suggestion \u0928\u092e\u0938\u094d\u0924\u0947.<\/p>\n

    Latin IMEs are needed to type in Latin-script languages using the US keyboard. Automatic diacriticals, spell correction, and prefix completion is all part of the package. To use Latin IMEs, type unaccented letters, and they will be corrected to the desired word that you select. If you type “franca” into the French IME, the term “fran\u00e7ais” appears, and pressing TAB will commit it. “francais” will be achieved if you keep typing “francais.” Press BACKSPACE to see a list of all the possible candidates for “francais.”.<\/p>\n

    Make sure you select the handwriting input for your preferred language before you can use handwriting input! Using the trackpad or mouse left click to draw a character by hand in the pop-up handwriting panel. Press ENTER or SPACE key to choose the first suggestion.<\/p>\n
