If your answer is &#8220;Yes&#8221;, then you are on the correct place where we will guide you a quick way to use the command line to measure your Internet speed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speedtest-cli is a python tool for testing your Internet speed using speedtest.net from the command line. This tool enables you to perform a fast speed test, show all available servers sorted by distance, select a server you want to use to check your internet speeds, perform a <a href=\"https:\/\/typingkeyboards.com\/nepali-fonts\/\" class=\"rank-math-link\">download<\/a> or upload test only, or create a speedtest.net share image result URL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/typingkeyboards.com\/blog\/wp-content\/themes\/breek\/assets\/images\/transparent.gif\" data-lazy=\"true\" data-src=\"https:\/\/cdn.dribbble.com\/users\/495079\/screenshots\/3074109\/speedtest.gif\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">You can use speedtest-cli to check internet speed on both Linux, macOS and Windows.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1. Install and check internet speed on Linux:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Arch\/Manjaro  <code>sudo pacman -S speedtest-cli<\/code> <\/li><li>Debiant\/Ubuntu\/Pop!_OS\/Linux Mint\/etc  <code>sudo apt install speedtest-cli<\/code> <\/li><li>Fedora  <code>sudo dnf install speedtest-cli<\/code> <\/li><li>openSUSE  <code>sudo zypper install speedtest-cli<\/code> <\/li><li>Other distros: if speedtest-cli is not in the repositories, you can install it using PIP. More info <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/sivel\/speedtest-cli#installation\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" class=\"rank-math-link\">here 14<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2.  Install  and check internet speed  on macOS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>use Homebrew. Install with  <code>brew install speedtest-cli<\/code>\n<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>3. Install  and check internet speed  on Windows<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Slightly more complicated but not impossible. Make sure you have  python and pip installed and added to your system path. After that, it\u2019s  just a matter of installing speedtest-cli using pip. See the  installation instruction linked in step 1<\/li><li>Once speedtest-cli is installed, check out the options with  <code>speedtest-cli -h<\/code> <\/li><li>To check your internet speed simply type  <code>speedtest<\/code>  or  <code>speedtest --simple<\/code>  for speedtest-cli to output only the ping, download and upload speeds.
